What a tune-up covers

1. Outdoor unit Clean the condenser coil, check the fan motor and blades, test the capacitor and contactor, tighten electrical connections.
2. Indoor unit Inspect the evaporator coil and blower, replace or check the filter, flush and treat the condensate drain, test the float switch.
3. Refrigerant and temperatures Check pressures and the temperature split across the coil. A low reading in spring points at a leak worth finding now.
4. Thermostat and controls Confirm the thermostat reads true and the system starts, runs and stops the way it should.
5. A plain-language report What we found, what we fixed, and anything worth planning for. No upsell list.

Questions we hear a lot

How often should an AC be serviced in Florida?

Twice a year: once in spring before the heavy cooling season and once in fall. Central Florida systems run close to year-round, so the once-a-year schedule that works up north leaves too long between checks here. Heat pumps benefit from the fall visit most, because that is when the heating side gets tested.

What is included in an AC tune-up?

Cleaning the outdoor coil, checking the fan, capacitor and contactor, inspecting the indoor coil and blower, flushing and treating the condensate drain, testing the float switch, checking refrigerant pressures and the temperature split, and confirming the thermostat and controls. You get a plain-language report at the end.

Is a maintenance plan worth it?

If you would otherwise forget to book the visits, yes. A plan puts both visits on our calendar and gives plan members priority scheduling when something fails in peak season. If you are disciplined about booking twice a year yourself, single visits do the same job. Terms and pricing are confirmed when you call.

Can maintenance really prevent a breakdown?

It prevents the common ones. Clogged drains, dirty coils, weak capacitors and low refrigerant are found and fixed on a tune-up long before they shut the system off in August. It cannot stop every failure, which is why we also tell you when a system is reaching the age where replacement makes more sense than repair.

Do you maintain systems you did not install?

Yes. We service every major brand, not only Daikin. Bring whatever paperwork you have on the system and we will check its warranty status while we are there, so you know what is covered if something does fail.
